Salary Range: $37,139.00-$99,026.00
BUDGETED SALARY: $39,500.00
Essential Duties:

- Clean and sanitize all surfaces, including floors, walls, stairwells, and handrails
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wax floors; wash walls and windows; dust and perform general cleaning tasks
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste in designated areas
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, hand dryers, and related fixtures
- Restock paper products and other restroom supplies
- Report maintenance issues such as plumbing stoppages or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor
- Remove trash and debris from building exteriors and surrounding areas
- Clear snow and ice from walkways and steps; apply salt or de-icing materials as needed to ensure safety
- Perform basic landscaping duties, including weeding, trimming, and lawn/shrub maintenance

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certifications, Licensures, and Examinations:
A valid Class "C" non-commercial driver's license with no more than three (3) points. Please be advised that this position requires a valid driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of standard custodial practices, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including hazard communication and safety signage
- Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of biohazardous waste
- Ability to operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on custodial equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public
- Ability to provide courteous and responsive customer service
Safety:
Must comply with all Federal (OSHA), State of Maryland (MOSH), safety regulations and applicable Harford County safety policies, procedures, or manuals as required for this position.
