Senior Manager Land & Lease Management (Temporary Opportunity up to 30 Months)

In this role, you'll:

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of land and lease management across the NSW Motorways concessions’ portfolio, ensuring their land holdings and property interests are managed effectively, compliantly and in alignment with network and operational objectives. This includes managing leases, licences, easements and access arrangements, with a strong focus on governance, statutory compliance and enabling operational outcomes across complex motorway assets.

You’ll lead environmental assessment oversight for land use, access and leasing activities, ensuring alignment with planning approvals, environmental legislation and NSW Motorways safeguards. Working closely with Transport for NSW you’ll facilitate lease registrations, variations, renewals and land transactions, ensuring documentation and approvals are delivered efficiently. You’ll also undertake due diligence across land and property matters, identifying risks and providing expert advice to protect NSW Motorway’s legal and commercial position.

A key part of your role will be managing complex stakeholder relationships across government, industry and private parties to resolve land and leasing issues and enable project and operational delivery. You’ll establish and maintain strong governance and reporting practices, providing clear insights and high-quality advice to senior leaders on risks, compliance and opportunities, and supporting informed decision-making in a dynamic and complex environment.

This role is a full time role for a fixed term until December 2028.

About you

You’re an experienced property, land or project management professional with a strong background in land tenure, leasing or property transactions, ideally within infrastructure, transport or a regulated environment. You bring sound knowledge of statutory, environmental and planning considerations, and you’re confident navigating complex frameworks to deliver practical and compliant outcomes.

You have strong project management and problem-solving capability, able to manage multiple priorities and transactions simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. You’re commercially aware and bring experience working alongside asset and commercial teams, with an understanding of how land and leasing decisions impact broader operational and financial outcomes.

You’re an exceptional communicator and relationship builder, able to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams, government agencies, councils and private parties. You thrive in autonomous roles, bringing initiative, sound judgement and a proactive approach to risk management and continuous improvement, and you’re comfortable providing clear, well-reasoned advice to support senior decision-making.
