SECURITY OFFICER (Generic)

Serves as the Governmental Letter of Authority (GLOA) Security Officer specially commissioned to patrol and perform regulatory duties related to the safeguarding of Dallas County property. Works outside direct supervision, completes routine police reports and forms, carries firearms and intermediate weapons; attends TXDPS and law enforcement in-service training; enforces fire code/county ordinances and other life safety codes; monitors fire and life safety equipment; operates patrol vehicles and directs traffic; assists Marshal Service peace officers as directed
