Global Strategic Communications
The Communications and Events Specialist is responsible for the planning and execution of small to large-scale visits, events, and community initiatives while supporting strategic communications efforts for Bell’s Amarillo facility. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and collaboration across departments and community organizations to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals. This part-time, on-site position at Bell’s Amarillo Aircraft Assembly Center reports directly to the Communications Manager of Military Business.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Communications and Events Specialist
- Support Bell’s experiential marketing team, program teams and Amarillo site leadership to plan and execute a wide range of ceremonial, community, government and stakeholder visits, creating a positive impression and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee event logistics, including planning, budgets, timelines, venue setup, catering, transportation, and security for facility visits, tours, and special events ensuring seamless execution and alignment with the company’s brand identity and values.
- Coordinate community outreach initiatives, including corporate giving programs, volunteer activities, and partnerships.
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and promotional content tailored to each visit or event.
- Work with communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and help drive business objectives and brand recognition through internal and external communications channels including written content, digital media, photos, video, newsletters, etc.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, supporting Bell’s Brand and Content Teams with asset management, vendor coordination, brand requests, photo/video capture, etc.
- Support leadership development to elevate customer experience and engagements.
What You Need to be Successful
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business or a related field.
- At least 2 years of planning and operations related experience in event planning or communications fields.
- Flexibility in schedule based on business needs.
- Skilled in maintaining positive relationships with community organizations, local leaders, and other external partners.
- Ability to represent the company professionally in all community interactions.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Motivated, detail-oriented and self-directed to deliver high quality results.
- Demonstrated success with project management.
- Ability to assimilate information from a variety of sources, analyze information, recommend and suggest courses of action to be taken.
- Fosters a strong entrepreneurial spirit and thrives in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities with limited resources.
- Team player with the desire, passion, and motivation to provide superior brand experience.
- Knowledge of branding principles and marketing strategies.
- Experienced in developing, implementing and improving processes.
- Excellent Microsoft Office application skills.
- Experience in photography and design, preferred.
