Leads procurement for major project categories including: foundation services, construction materials, construction services, civil works, mechanical and electrical services, utilities, equipment, temporary hires, crane rental, permitting, and consulting.
Develops and implements project-specific procurement strategies in coordination with Global Procurement and Project Management.
Initiates procurement processes, issues RFPs/RFQs, evaluates bids, negotiates commercial terms, and resolves procurement challenges.
Manages supplier performance, qualification, and development of master supplier data.
Ensures compliance with procurement procedures, insurance requirements, lien waivers, documentation standards, and delivery obligations.
Coordinates procurement activities with Construction, Engineering, O&M, Project Management, Finance, Logistics, and site teams.
Oversees expediting activities, monitors delivery milestones, and addresses schedule risks.
Provides coaching and guidance to Buyer I and project procurement support staff.
Supports the development and implementation of procurement procedures, processes, and operational tools.
Involved in Human Resource matters including hiring, promotion, disciplinary action and termination of personnel in coordination with plant supervisory team and corporate management and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ability to travel long distances by car or air as required.
Must be able to operate a vehicle safely.
