Starbucks Barista (Part-Time) - Caribe Royale Orlando Hotel

Scope of Position

A Starbucks barista is responsible for creating a welcoming environment and delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. This role emphasizes hospitality, efficiency, and attention to detail to ensure every guest has a positive experience.

Position Requirements

• Professional demeanor appropriate for a resort environment.
• Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to implement standards/procedures and sequence of service consistently.
• Previous café experience preferred.
• A food handling certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, engaging service.
• Prepare and serve beverages and food items to Starbucks standards
• Offer customer demonstrations and samples using brewing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including dining and work areas
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Follow store policy and procedures for operational flow at each station.
• Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing products.
• Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies.
• Contribute to store goals for increasing sales and improving profits.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Education

• High school diploma or GED

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment, machinery.

Physical Requirements

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds.
• Requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
