Sales Consultant Advanced Wound Care: Pretoria

What will you be doing?

This role forms part of the Advanced Wound Management division and is responsible for driving sales growth within a defined territory while delivering high-quality clinical support to a well-established customer base.

The successful candidate will engage with a wide range of healthcare professionals across hospitals and primary care settings, ensuring strong product adoption and optimal patient outcomes through both commercial execution and clinical expertise.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets within the allocated territory
  • Develop and execute structured territory plans, including quarterly business plans
  • Maintain a consistent call cycle aligned to theatre schedules and customer appointments
  • Build and maintain relationships across:
  • Private and mine hospitals
  • Surgical specialties
  • PNPs and podiatrists
  • Other designated healthcare outlets
  • Deliver product training and clinical support through:
  • One-on-one detailing
  • In-service training sessions
  • Workshops and practical demonstrations in theatre and ward environments
  • Ensure correct product application and customer understanding of the portfolio
  • Attend ward rounds to provide clinical guidance and identify new opportunities
  • Maintain accurate customer records and detailed call reporting
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide market insights
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand product usage
  • Support NPWT processes, including:
  • Authorisation submissions
  • PNP onboarding and invoicing
  • Clinical training and funding documentation
  • Manage consignment stock, including:
  • Monthly stock counts
  • Resolving discrepancies within 48 hours
  • Maintaining stock within acceptable variance levels
  • Deliver products in emergency situations where required
  • Participate in medical congresses, sales meetings, and cycle reviews
  • Prepare and present quarterly activity reviews
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, including:
  • Quality Assurance and Regulatory requirements
  • Health, Safety & Environment standards
  • Timely reporting of product complaints

Successful candidates would need the following:

  • Degree in Health Sciences
  • Valid South African driver’s licence
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical Industry
  • Crice Certified
  • Experience working in theatre and high-pressure clinical environments
  • Experience in Advanced Wound Management would be advantageous
  • The ability to communicate in Afrikaans
  • Must reside in Pretoria
  • Willing to travel – monthly Country Trip
