We are looking for a strategic and forward-thinking leader to shape how we support Medicaid and Marketplace clients in a rapidly evolving environment. As Director, Medicaid & Marketplace Client Strategy, you will guide a unified approach that helps health plan partners navigate complexity, improve performance, and unlock sustainable growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, partnership, and impact—and is energized by building solutions that truly make a difference for clients and the communities they serve.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision for client strategy
Define and lead a cohesive support model that brings together regulatory insight, performance improvement, and growth planning into one clear, client-centered approach.

  • Drive meaningful client outcomes
Partner with account teams to strengthen executive relationships, improve retention, and identify opportunities to expand value and deepen partnerships.

  • Turn insight into action
Translate federal and state policy changes, contract requirements, and market trends into clear strategies that help clients stay ahead and make confident decisions.

  • Shape differentiated solutions
Collaborate across product, clinical, underwriting, and market strategy teams to design offerings that are competitive, compliant, and responsive to evolving client needs.

  • Influence enterprise direction
Elevate the voice of the client to inform priorities, investments, and market-facing strategies that support long-term growth and affordability.

  • Strengthen market positioning
Guide Medicaid and Marketplace positioning and selling strategies by bringing forward strong insights, clear value stories, and innovative thinking.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team
Build a culture grounded in growth, accountability, and coaching, where people are supported to learn, stretch, and deliver their best work.

  • Provide thought leadership and clarity
Deliver executive-level messaging and perspectives that help stakeholders understand market dynamics and act with confidence.

  • Navigate complexity with confidence
Lead through ambiguity and change, aligning cross-functional teams and driving decisions that improve outcomes for both clients and the business.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Strong ability to interpret regulations and translate them into clear business and client strategies
  • Demonstrated experience building trusted executive relationships and influencing outcomes at a senior level
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to move ideas into action
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree such as MBA, MHA, or MPH
  • Experience supporting Medicaid and Marketplace growth, RFPs, or expansion strategies
  • Strong financial and market acumen, with the ability to assess competition and prioritize investments
  • Experience representing the voice of the client in enterprise-level decision-making
