Job Description
The Amazon Mexico team is looking for a dynamic and talented Senior Vendor Manager. Joining the Sports team means partnering with a dynamic and creative group who set a high bar for innovation and success in a fast-paced and changing environment. The Senior Vendor Manager will be responsible for building and managing Amazon Mexico's Sports business, including creating, negotiating, and maintaining strong vendor relationships; innovating how we connect with and add value for customers; owning and driving the P&L (including reporting, unit, revenue, and margin growth); and working with stakeholder teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience that will result in category leadership in the online market segment.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage strategic programs with leading sports categories to create a great customer experience and help the sports brands to grow
- Complete customer analysis, brainstorm and execute new initiatives to meet customer needs
- Analyze and track publishers' performance on key performance indicators
- Think backwards from the customer means thinking across reading/listening formats: physical books, kindle, Audible
- Work closely with the marketing, supply chain and product management teams within Books to align all efforts and deliver results
A day in the life
Retail Managers are owners of the Retail business. Either for subcategories or subgroup of vendors they own the respective business end-to-end including the entire P&L, from topline down to free cash flow. They manage inputs by driving selection, securing great prices and increasing convenience/speed to accelerate Amazon’s flywheel. While they focus their activities on our most strategically relevant vendors and holdouts, they audit and escalate the performance of lower tiered vendors.

- 5+ years of with Excel experience
- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
