Job Description
Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced SRE-DevOps Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure supporting enterprise cloud and application environments. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop automation frameworks, support continuous integration and delivery, and resolve technical challenges proactively. The ideal candidate will leverage strong scripting, cloud, and DevOps skills to ensure operational excellence, system resilience, and alignment with organizational strategic goals.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
Profound understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP supporting infrastructure automation and orchestration
Hands-on experience with configuration management and automation tools: Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent
Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or similar for automation and tooling support
Experience with CI/CD automation tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or native cloud services
Understanding of infrastructure as code, security practices, and compliance standards
Preferred Skills:
Experience with serverless frameworks and cloud-native service integration
Familiarity with service mesh architectures and API gateways
Knowledge of security standards and practices for cloud environments (IAM, encryption, compliance)
Overall Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize scalable and resilient Infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and services
Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment pipelines, and operational tasks to enhance agility and reliability
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams on infrastructure architecture and best practices
Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis for outages and performance issues
Establish and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards across cloud environments
Maintain documentation for architecture, automation scripts, and operational procedures
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for system performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence
Support cloud migrations, platform upgrades, and disaster recovery strategies
Mentor team members in DevOps practices, scripting, and cloud architecture principles

Required: Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages supporting automation
Preferred: PowerShell, Perl
Cloud & Infrastructure:
Essential: AWS, Azure, or GCP supporting automation, scaling, and security
Preferred: Cloud-native security tools, Inspector, Security Hub, or equivalent
Automation & Configuration:
Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure as code tools
Containerization & Orchestration:
Docker, Kubernetes, Helm for container deployment and management

Security & Compliance:

Experience Requirements
5+ years of experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure, automation, and cloud deployment
Pool of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments supporting high-availability systems
Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration
Troubleshooting expertise in production environments with proactive incident management
Deep understanding of security, compliance, and governance aspects of cloud infrastructure
Day-to-Day Activities
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure supporting production workloads
Automate deployment and operational workflows to minimize manual intervention
Monitor system health, optimize performance, and resolve outages swiftly
Collaborate on architecture reviews, security policies, and compliance measures
Participate in planning, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support cloud migration, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning
Develop documentation, runbooks, and best practices for operational excellence
Mentor team members in DevOps and cloud management techniques
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Engineer, or similar are preferred
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale cloud environments supporting critical enterprise systems
