Wage Range: 26.00-28.00/hour D.O.E.

JOB SUMMARY
Groomer II is responsible for safely operating snow grooming equipment to create and maintain high-quality skiing and riding conditions across the resort. This position performs routine equipment inspections, redistributes snow to maximize surface coverage, identifies and communicates hazards, and works closely with other mountain operations teams to ensure safe, efficient overnight grooming operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Operates PB600 snowcats in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintains fluid levels, performs daily machine inspections, and reports any/all damage to vehicle maintenance.
Works to reduce/eliminate hazards to skiers/riders on snow surface where possible.
Moves snow to provide adequate coverage of skiing/riding surface, and clears excess snow from around lifts and buildings.
Communicates with other crew members via 2 way radio.
Reports obstacles and hazards to shift supervisor/ski patrol (exposed rocks, dirt, ice accumulation etc.)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Valid drivers license
2+ Years grooming experience
Knowledge of Pisten Bully 400 and 600 operation and maintenance
Ability to work efficiently while not under direct supervision
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is required to work evenings and/or overnight, weekends and holidays while in operation.
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
Ability to work for extended periods of time while seated.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate heavy equipment controls
Ability to work outside in ANY AND ALL weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, high winds, and cold temperatures.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
