Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Public Works Operations Manager this position will be overseeing all daily operations of the Fleet and Facilities Division. The Fleet and Facilities Supervisor will organize, manage, supervise, assign and review all division responsibilities and operations.
Must possess a CDL within 12 months of hire.
Must obtain CJIS certification within 6 months of hire.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check.
Any additional training as requested by department head or designee.Intermediate: Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
Basic: Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Contact Management, Database, Human Resources Systems, Payroll Systems
USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS
Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, road and production machines and equipment, driver's license/cdl, etc.)

- Responsible for planning, personnel development, and day-to-day activities of the Facilities Maintenance and Fleet Division of Public Works.
- Assist with developing, implementing, and managing operations and maintenance projects/programs generally related to effective management of assigned assets.
- Provide input to assist with budget requests and recommendations annually.
- Supervise, make recommendations, and conduct inspections of projects.
- Resolve issues by making minor changes related to division operations.
- Conduct regular project meetings with the appropriate parties and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Respond to concerned customers both internal and external as they relate to projects, general concerns, or questions.
- Always demonstrate excellent customer service skills, with contractors, public and City staff members.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate full-time staff; assess employees’ performance and prepare performance evaluations; counsel and interview employees, resolve informal complaints and grievances, and take necessary disciplinary action in accordance with City policies.
- Responsible for process creation, development, and improvement for the department.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
