- Collaborate with Product Managers to define use cases, workflows, and industry requirements.
- Work alongside AI Engineers to translate formulation knowledge into structured logic, prompts, and domain frameworks (e.g., defining chemical property mapping and constraints).
- Provide technical validation to ensure outputs are scientifically sound and industrially feasible
- Contribute to the development of formulation knowledge bases, best-practice guidelines, and evaluation benchmarks.
- Support testing and optimization of the AI agent from an industrial application perspective.
- Identify real-world formulation challenges and translate them into AI-enabled solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Materials Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on formulation experience (cosmetics and chemical preferred; other industry also considered).
- Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, formulation design, stability testing, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience in product development from concept to commercialization.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Interest in AI, digital tools, or emerging technologies in R&D is highly desirable
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven Experience in professional formulation development (skincare, personal care, color cosmetics, etc.)
- Familiarity with raw material databases and formulation software tools.
- Prior experience working with cross-functional product or technology teams, transferring domain knowledge to AI based solution.
- AI engineer and product manager background is a strong plus
What You’ll Be Building
