Job Summary
- The Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team (WEST Team) supports a variety of imaging services across our facilities. Region One includes Kennestone Hospital, North Fulton Hospital, and Windy Hill.
- As an MRI Technologist for Region One, you will apply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve.

Pay
- In return for stepping in where you’re needed most, Float Pool members earn a higher base rate and may be eligible for a float incentive.

Required Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting
Certifications
- ARRT-R (Radiography)
- ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
Core Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams and produce diagnostic-quality images per established protocols.
- Verify orders, collect relevant clinical history, complete MRI safety screening, and assess contraindications.
- Confirm patient identity per policy; ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and required markers.
- Prepare patients for exams; explain procedures using AIDET and maintain privacy, comfort, and dignity.
- Apply MRI safety practices at all times (magnet safety, access control, hearing protection, safety devices).
