**Certified Phlebotomy Tech - Clinical Lab

CPT I must follow the CA Codes (bpc: 1246); (CCR 1034) to work in the laboratory.  The Certified Phlebotomy Technician I work more frequently with patients and collects samples for analysis in the clinical laboratory and is under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist.  This person performs: 1) computer entry, filing, telephone communication and other clerical duties, 2) may work alone or in various size groups on any shift on any day of the week under direct supervision of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, 3) should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in the laboratory, 4) demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner, 5) have...
