Night Shift Machinist – Program Machines on-the-floor
Location: General Die & Engineering, an ArtiFlex family company, 6500 Clay Avenue SW, Grand Rapids, MI

GD&E, an Artiflex family company, is hiring a CNC Machinist. You will help craft die cast dies, plastic injection molds, and stamping die components in a low-volume, high-mix environment. If you thrive on precision, challenge, and variety—this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Program on the shop floor using WorkNC
- Operate CNC equipment to machine tight-tolerance parts with quality as a top priority
- Perform setups and validate work using precision inspection tools
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency
Types of Machines You May Operate:
- Horizontal CNC Mills
- Vertical CNC Mills
- 5-Axis CNC Mills
- EDM Sinker Machines
- Carbon Machining Equipment
- Gun Drilling Machines
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably in a die shop or tooling environment
- On-floor programming experience using WorkNC or similar CAM software
- Strong knowledge of measuring and inspection tools
- Proven commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
- Carbon machining and EDM sinker experience (preferred)
