Behavioral Health Clinician - Specialized Residential Services

Engages individuals in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner even during acute phase. Screen for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Implements integrated strength based assessment(s) interviews to assess the presence, onset, symptoms and patterns of substance use, behavioral and psychiatric disorders. Assesses for acute needs and risk and provide/arrange for appropriate stage wise intervention. In the presence of two disorders, evaluation will be made of the interaction between the two, as well as the relationship of each to significant life events. Demonstrates the knowledge of diagnostic criteria for psychiatric and substance use disorders.
