Job Summary
A stylist provides haircuts, color services, shampoo therapy, styling, and other services to women, men, and children under leadership's direct supervision. Stylists deliver all services with an emphasis on providing a fantastic experience and building a strong base of return guests. Stylists are expected to follow all salon policies and procedures. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide Fantastic Guest Service
Acknowledge and greet all guests in a friendly, prompt, and courteous manner
Provide thorough consultations to determine needs and provide solutions
Integrate product recommendations and retail sales into each service
Create a premier guest experience by delivering top quality haircare and attention to customer detail
Promote referrals and business building practices; encourage guests to return
Uphold Excellence Standards
Adhere to salon dress code, including appearance standards for hair and makeup
Demonstrate professionalism in behavior and interactions with others at all times
Keep workstation and salon tidy and in compliance with salon specifications at all times
Maintain standards for growing a profitable salon and reducing waste
Be a Collaborative Team Member
Attend all required education events and workshops
Complete assigned housekeeping duties; including, but not limited to, stocking and cleaning
Work with others in a positive and cooperative mindset
Participate in salon and team-related activities and events
Promote teamwork and demonstrate respectful behaviors at all times
Qualifications and Skills
Valid cosmetology license for the state of Missouri
Proficiency in the latest color, cutting, and styling techniques
Proficiency in the use of equipment needed to perform technical services
Effective Communication
Ability to build and maintain strong guest relationships
Independent and self-motivated
