Job Description
- Lead, manage, and mentor a talented team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and impact.
- Define and drive the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Google Health's data ingestion services and database platforms.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of data infrastructure services, from design and development to deployment and operations. Ensure our systems meet stringent requirements for security, privacy, compliance (e.g., HIPAA), scalability, and reliability, given the sensitive nature of health data.
- Advocate for best practices in software development, data engineering, and database management. Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Manage project definition, planning and execution. Balance priorities, make technical trade-offs, and collaborate with product management, research, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver enabling infrastructure solutions.
