Job Description

Summary

RNDC is looking for a self-starter and team player to perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or structure of in repair. Duties may involve belt lacing; pipe fitting; insulating; welding; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing and aligning new equipment or parts; repairing buildings, floors and catwalks or stairs. 

 

In this role, you will

  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment such as batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo driven equipment, photo electrical devices, transducers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) and encoders. 
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates. 
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace pneumatic equipment such as diverters, lubricators, hoses, and valves. 
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps. 
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace welding equipment such as handrails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts, and grating as defined by scope of work. 
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, and power industrial equipment. 
  • Order replacement/repair parts and hardware necessary to accomplish task. 

What you bring to RNDC

  • Minimum of five years’ related experience 
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude 
  • Basic knowledge of forklifts, order pickers, and electric floor jacks 
  • Intricate knowledge of both belt- and air-driven conveyor systems 
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 60 pounds 
  • 75% travel
