Job Description
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Product Development & Supplier Management**
- Control supplier-related milestones during product development with on-time component sourcing and early supplier involvement (ESI) during concept phase
- Maintain supplier and material status documentation for Gate Reviews and drive component change management until SOP
- Lead the sourcing team through the automotive sourcing process, from kick-off to supplier nomination at PLC Gate 55
- Safeguard supplier risk exposure across geo-hazard, geo-political, financial, technical, and supply risks
**Component Sourcing & Cost Optimisation**
- Drive sourcing activities to achieve best cost, quality, and capacity whilst meeting project milestones
- Manage RFQ distribution, component sample ordering, and support category purchasing during supplier negotiations
- Generate and maintain bill of material (BOM) view with commercial responsibility for material costs
- Participate actively in design-to-cost activities during product concept and development phases to achieve material cost targets
**Post-SOP Activities & Strategy Development**
- Ensure smooth handover to plant purchasing by PLC Gate 80 and manage sourcing responsibilities after SOP
- Initiate or support redesign-to-cost (ReDTC) and cost reduction programmes (CRP) post-launch
- Translate BA product and technology roadmaps into component and technology roadmaps
- Conduct strategy reviews with main categories to identify actions, white spots, and supplier development needs
Graduate Engineer {Electronics / Mechanical } with minimum 12~15 years of experience.
