Job Description
SUMMARY A Purchasing Assistant supports the department and reports to a buyer. This is an onsite position at our Store Support Center in Commerce, CA. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned or required: Prepares purchase orders as needed. Assists department with following purchasing procedures, as well as following up on their orders to ensure that deliveries are timely. Assists and/or issues purchase order follow-up to ensure on-time deliveries and correct pricing, terms and specifications. Updates sales log reports on a daily basis. Updates and inputs cost retail prices on a daily basis. Extensive follow-up with store directors and vendors on a daily basis. Provides strong data entry support/receivers. Responsible for meeting daily deadlines. Schedules/sets up vendor appointments. Provides general support to Buyers.
