JOB DESCRIPTION:
In Abbott’s Heart Failure (HF) business, we’re developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
Summary of Position
- Drives market expansion, innovation, and competitive advantage by leading strategic regional initiatives, influencing priorities, and optimizing customer relationships.
- Utilizes demand forecasting and commercial levers into actionable strategies, managing P&L to meet regional and global goals.
- Forges strategic partnerships and makes accountable, insight-driven decisions that accelerate technology adoption, market resilience, and organizational growth.
- Leads commercial functions including but not limited to commercial operations, training, market access strategy, data analytics, and commercial effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth by identifying market opportunities, adapting global strategies to fit regional dynamics, and expanding HF’s footprint in key markets.
- Implement customer-centric initiatives that strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, improve customer satisfaction, and deepen long-term loyalty.
- Oversee adoption of digital tools, AI, and machine learning to enhance offerings and streamline regional operations.
- Direct regional P&L, budgeting, and financial risk management, aligning financial goals with global objectives; accountable to support DVP Commercial Americas for commercial reviews, OEM and LBEs.
- Ensure cohesive execution of commercial strategies through cross-functional collaboration, KPIs, and strategic influence with country leadership teams.
- Lead planning and execution of go-to-market strategies, optimizing launch success and market competitiveness.
- Leverage analytics and demand forecasting to guide strategic decisions, integrating market, operational, and performance levers to prioritize regional actions.
- Make and own high-impact strategic recommendations, incorporating feedback loops and outcome accountability across regional and country-level initiatives.
- Stay ahead of competitors by refining strategies based on market intelligence, customer insights, and technological advancements.
- Anticipate and mitigate market, operational, and compliance risks to ensure strategic resilience.
- Work with and lead market access teams to ensure products meet standards and optimize reimbursement.
- Mentor commercial teams, fostering strategic thinking, continuous learning, and leadership development.
Critical Experience:
- End-to-End Business Strategy Ownership: Exposure to developing cohesive business strategies that integrate financial, operational, and commercial functions.
- Broad-Based Organizational Influence: Experience collaborating across commercial and non-commercial functions and influencing teams without direct authority.
- Strategic and Operational Risk Management: Deepening skills in making and owning high-impact decisions, balancing risk with commercial opportunity.
- Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders to gain support for regional and organizational strategies.
- Advanced Organizational Design and Talent Development: Refine expertise in structuring teams, commercial deployment, building leadership pipelines, and nurturing high-potential talent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Commercial Excellence, Sales Operations, Sales Force Effectiveness, Business Analytics, or related commercial leadership roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in forecasting, performance measurement, KPI frameworks, and commercial planning.
- Proven experience leading targeting/segmentation, territory design, and incentive compensation processes.
- Strong proficiency with business intelligence and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python/R).
- Experience overseeing complex dashboard development, automation workflows, and scenario modeling.
- Strong cross‑functional leadership skills with experience partnering across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
- Ability to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive‑level presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA, MS Analytics, or related discipline).
- Experience in healthcare, medical devices or similarly regulated industries.
- Hands‑on technical expertise in advanced modeling, predictive analytics, or machine learning applications.
- Background leading large‑scale Commercial Excellence or Sales Transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change management at scale and influence senior stakeholders
The base pay for this position is
$171,300.00 – $342,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
