In the role of Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical vision and architectural framework of bespoke software projects. This position requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of software development, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The role emphasizes establishing and maintaining high standards for development practices, ensuring that solutions are scalable, performant, and aligned with organizational goals. Collaboration with various stakeholders to synchronize efforts and drive project success is a key aspect of daily activities, fostering an environment of innovation and technical excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and implementation of best practices to enhance software quality and efficiency.
- Mentor and support team members to foster professional growth and technical expertise.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure alignment with business objectives and project timelines.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns relevant to custom software development.
- Experience in managing code quality, scalability, and performance optimization within software projects.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and provide clear guidance on complex software engineering challenges.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and tools to connect custom solutions with existing enterprise systems.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in ServiceNow.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
