
Maintenance & Tooling Lead Technician
Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and professional Maintenance & Tooling Lead Technician to join our team in Pluangdaeng, Thailand. In this role, you will lead maintenance and tooling operations, ensuring optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing facility. You will oversee a team of technicians while managing preventive maintenance programs, tooling optimization, and technical troubleshooting to support production excellence.
- Lead and supervise maintenance and tooling teams, providing technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure operational excellence
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance schedules and programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life
- Analyze equipment failures and conduct root cause analysis to identify systemic issues and implement corrective actions
- Design, optimize, and maintain tooling systems to enhance production efficiency and product quality
- Organize and maintain comprehensive maintenance records, technical documentation, and equipment inventory systems
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards across all maintenance operations
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions efficiently
- Manage maintenance budgets, tool procurement, and resource allocation to optimize operational costs
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles within maintenance operations
- Conduct equipment inspections, calibrations, and certifications to maintain compliance with industry standards
- Train and mentor technicians on proper maintenance procedures, safety practices, and technical skills development
**Required Skills and Experience:**
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven leadership experience supervising and developing technical teams
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance planning and execution
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Detailed knowledge of safety protocols, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems and technical documentation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
**Preferred Skills and Experience:**
- Experience with tooling design, optimization, and customization
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficiency with CAD software or equipment design tools
- Experience with inventory management and procurement systems
- Certification in maintenance management or related technical field
- Project management experience in maintenance or capital improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies and condition monitoring systems
