Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified CDO Lead to oversee and direct the performance of Contract Detention Officers (CDOs) assigned to hospital detail shifts. This critical role serves as the on-site supervisory presence, ensuring CDOs maintain operational standards, comply with all policies, and complete all required documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the sole CDO Lead present during each hospital detail shift.

Direct and inspect CDO performance to ensure compliance with contract and operational standards.

Complete the Hospital Shift Security Log after every shift, documenting:

Presence and alertness of two armed detention officers.
-
Names of officers on post.
-
Proper uniform and visible identification compliance.
-
Training and qualification currency.
-
Prisoner's name, location, and shift start/end times.

Submit completed logs to the Order Level Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

Review and ensure accuracy of all necessary logs and reports.

Submit reports to the Program Manager in accordance with established procedures.

Report all incidents and accidents in a timely manner.

Support management in resolving unexpected issues efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen.
-
21 years of age or older.
-
High school diploma or GED required; college degree in criminal justice or completion of a security management program preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years of continuous law enforcement-related experience, Corrections or Military with at least two (2) years in a lead or supervisory role.

Completion of a local, state, or federal law enforcement training program is highly desirable.

Fluent in English (read, write, and speak).

Valid U.S. driver’s license required.

Current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required if transporting prisoners.

Trained and qualified in the use of USMS-approved firearms and less-than-lethal devices.

Must pass an annual medical examination certifying the ability to perform all duties, including

Honorable or general discharge if previously served in the military.

This position is assigned by the Program Manager and requires the ability to lead under pressure, maintain compliance with all federal and agency regulations, and promote a safe and secure environment during hospital detail assignments.
