Job Description
Overview We are seeking a full-time Audio Visual Conference Services Specialist 2 at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for the moderately complex installation, set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of all Garmin conference rooms and equipment. Essential Functions Provide support and training to end users on moderately complex conference room technology and collaboration tools Install and maintain conference room equipment based on user needs and requests and maintain a working knowledge of conference room technology and equipment Maintain a regular health check schedule on all critical or VIP conference rooms and maintain records of daily communication transactions, problems, remedial actions taken, and installation activities Research, resolve, and respond timely to moderately complex questions regarding conference room equipment received via telephone, e-mail, walk-ups, and callbacks Provide Audio/Visual support for large conferences including running audio and video production board, editing video and creating/editing effective presentations in both Windows and Macintosh Understand, develop and support video conferencing and content sharing including traditional IP video conferencing, webcast meeting and Lync collaboration tools Demonstrate proficiency in periodic use of video/audio recording and editing Work effectively and professionally with other team members, learn from and share knowledge with others by documenting and contributing to knowledge base Identify process improvement areas and create plans for implementing changes Apply basic standards and procedures to accomplish tasks including learning how to use and apply applicable technologies and interact with outside suppliers who provide support, equipment, and services for Garmin conference rooms and events Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED AND coursework towards completion of a technical degree OR a minimum of 2 years IT or technical experience Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Demonstrates knowledge and proficient understanding of troubleshooting and research tools as well as asset, service, monitoring, and documentation tools Demonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization Desired Qualifications Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5) Experience as a producer or director for large meetings or conferences Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
