Specialist, Application, IQS, VN

Provide pre- and post-sales application support for the Industrial Quality Solutions (IQS) business unit, with a focus on "Materials Science", "Failure Analysis", and "Quality Assurance". 

Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of IQS solutions – including light microscopy ("LM" ), electron microscopy ("EM" ), and advanced imaging systems – for industrial customers in the assigned territory. This includes understanding system hardware, software, and accessories, while managing time and customer priorities effectively and operating in full compliance with company guidelines and standards. 

Operate, care for, and ensure cleanliness and readiness of all systems within the Quality Excellence Center ("QEC" ), maintaining a professional, customer-ready demonstration and training environment.

Technical Support in the ZSP (ZEISS Sales Process) System Sales and After Sales Goals 

• Application support during the IG (Information Gathering) process, collaborating with Sales team in customizing solutions to potential customers. 

• Application support during the IS (Information Sharing) process, collaborating with Sales team in providing Demo, Presentations, and meetings to present our Solution. 

• Develop skills & knowledge via ZEISS learning paths and skills matrix with assigned products and services. 

Sustained revenue generation as Application Services provider 

• Execute solutions e.g.: measuring services, accessory solutions, programming services & consulting services to generate revenue. 

• After sales product push for Software Maintenance Agreements (SMA), additional software options, software upgrades, and promoting the use of the ZEISS Portal e.g. online training.  

ZEISS Academy – Provide Training to end customers and public courses 

• Provide training based on sales contracts as well as billable training to end customers on our devices, software, solutions, and fundamental preparatory courses e.g., AUKOM 

• Know and understand all aspects of compliance, standard operating procedure (SOP), certifications accreditations as a Trainer. 

• Manage different mode of training e.g.: Remote virtual setup, classroom setup, factory setup and webinar setup. 

Engineering Solutions Pre Sales and Post Sales 

• Provide solutions on fixturing design, special tools, stylus, and project solutions. e.g., design a fixture for programming services.   

Process Compliance 

• Adheres to process requirements, operation procedures, legal compliances, Brand compliance 

• Complete reports on time e.g., CRM Mobile X entries and sign off from customer on the last day of job. 

• Punctual for meetings  

• Presentable attire. 

Education / Professional Certification 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in "Materials Science" "Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology" , "Applied Physics(Electronics), Biotechnology or a closely related field, a master’s degree is an advantage. 

Experience 

• 3 - 5 years’ experience working with scanning electron microscopes ("SEM" ) and light microscopes ("LM" ) in an industrial and/or academic environment. 

• Solid understanding of industrial sales and service processes. 

• Experience in selling and supporting imaging and image-processing software for "LM" , "EM" , and/or "XRM"  is preferred. 

• Knowledge of materials and failure analysis or manufacturing applications, ideally in failure analysis, "CNC"  programming, and metrology. 

• Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines ("CMM" ), X-ray / computed tomography systems, optical inspection systems, and related quality assurance software is an advantage. 

Knowledge / Skills / Other characteristics 

• Able to interact in a professional manner with customers and co-workers. 

• Good command of written and spoken English  

• Intermediate expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

• Presenting confidently and clearly to a medium to large audience. 

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.  

• Willingness to travel within the country /region as required.
