The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Design to Value Engineer the Hub Engineering team. This position will
be located at the Guarulhos. This role is responsible for implementing projects by applying the
Design to Value methodology to achieve cost savings and increase the value to our customers.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Drive profitability for current product offerings by applying DtV (Design to Value) Methodology.
Perform reverse engineering and benchmarking activities within Design to Value deployment.
Generate ideas that contribute to the cost out targets and drive customer value. Idea generation may be performed individually, with the Design to Value team, or as part of cross functional workshop/kaizen events.
Develop tools and design concepts which reduce design/manufacturing/assembly time, increase quality, and optimize the use of material.
Develop detailed business cases and implementation plans necessary for project approvals.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), with a preference for Electrical Engineering.
Proven record of executing and delivering cost out projects and savings.
Experience in design and manufacturing of power and/or distribution transformers.
Experience working with 3D CAD software (Pro-Engineer/CREO Parametric are highly preferred).
Yellow or Green Belt and Lean manufacturing experience.
Experience working in projects using Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) Methodology.
Good command of English allowing free communication in an international environment.
