Summary

Midea is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Finance Leader to oversee and drive all finance-related activities for the Peru operation. This role will serve as a strategic business partner to leadership while ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and sustainable business growth.

The Finance Leader will be responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Compliance, and Internal Controls. This individual will play a key role in supporting business decisions, improving financial performance, managing risk, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with operational finance expertise and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

What will you do?

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Prepare monthly financial forecasts, including P&L, cash flow, and working capital projections.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Support strategic planning and business decision-making through financial insights.

 

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and inventory-related transactions.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accounting accuracy and compliance with corporate and local regulations.

 

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
  • Oversee banking relationships and treasury operations.
  • Monitor working capital and support capital allocation decisions.
  • Support foreign exchange management and financial risk mitigation initiatives.

 

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

  • Oversee payment approval processes and cash disbursements.
  • Monitor collections, customer aging, and receivables performance.
  • Partner with commercial teams to improve cash conversion and collection effectiveness.
  • Ensure strong controls are maintained across AP and AR functions.

 

Tax, Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Support tax reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate policies, and accounting standards.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal control processes.
  • Support audits and corporate governance initiatives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.

 

Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to commercial, operations, supply chain, and leadership teams.
  • Support pricing analysis, profitability initiatives, trade spending reviews, and investment evaluations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency and business growth.
  • Provide financial guidance to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.

 

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive finance process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Promote automation and best practices across finance operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the development of finance capabilities and organizational growth.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA, Master’s degree, CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Controlling, or related financial functions.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
  • Hands-on experience managing accounting operations, including AP, AR, month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance activities.
  • Experience supporting business leaders through financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Previous experience in multinational, consumer goods, manufacturing, distribution, or fast-growing organizations is preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial planning tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Advanced English proficiency required.
