Position Information

Responsibilities:
-Assists in the design, planning, and coordinating of experiments in support of various research projects.
-Selects and applies standard techniques of routine research and keeps detailed records of data.
-Uses computers and laboratory or technical equipment to perform data analysis, statistical analysis, and technical evaluation of research experiments and results.
-Evaluates and summarizes results.
-Installs, operates, maintains, and/or repairs research equipment.
-Assists with reports, invoices, and cataloging records.
-Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

-Two years of related professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Master’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Must have working knowledge of the biology of important structural pests (ants, termites, cockroaches, bed bugs, etc.)
-Knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment.

-Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position.

-Knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment.

-Attention to detail.

Additional Requirements:

-May vary depending on area of research.

-May travel as required.

-May have to work on the weekend and/or after normal hours.

Salary: Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
