Purpose
The Director, AI Value Creation is a strategic leadership role within Global Finance responsible for establishing and scaling enterprise AI capabilities to drive Finance transformation, efficiency, and decision-making. Reporting into the Value Creation Office (VCO), this role ensures alignment between the Enterprise’s AI strategy, finance transformation priorities, and enterprise objectives, while enabling the adoption of advanced analytics, automation, and AI-driven solutions across Global Finance.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Define and lead the AI strategy and roadmap for Global Finance, aligned to enterprise priorities and finance transformation objectives.
- Establish and lead the AI Center of Excellence (CoE), including governance, standards, and best practices for AI adoption across Finance.
- Drive identification, prioritization, and delivery of high-impact AI use cases across financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and controls.
- Partner with Technology, Data, Risk, Talent and Business leaders to enable scalable AI solutions and integration with existing platforms.
- Oversee AI governance, risk management, and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
- Lead cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, insights, and decision support.
- Champion data-driven culture and build AI/analytics capabilities within Finance through training, enablement, and change management.
- Drive value realization by tracking benefits, performance metrics, and ROI of AI initiatives across Global Finance.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging AI trends and their application within Finance transformation.
- Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
- Create an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
- Influence across Global Finance (~2600 employees globally), spanning multiple concurrent transformation initiatives and AI programs.
- Partner with Enterprise cross-functional delivery teams including Technology, Data, Risk, and external partners.
- Make strategic and operational decisions impacting AI adoption, governance, and finance transformation outcomes.
- Influence senior stakeholders across Finance, Technology, Risk, and Business Lines globally.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 8+ years in Finance, Strategy, or Transformation roles within large, complex organizations.
- Proven leadership in AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Finance processes (e.g., reporting, planning, forecasting, controls).
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering large-scale transformation programs.
- Deep knowledge of AI technologies, machine learning, and data platforms in enterprise environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment. Exceptional communications skills.
- Experience with governance, risk management, and regulatory considerations related to AI and data.
