Position Summary:

Our Production Supervisors are responsible for leading our production team members within their respective departments in the assembly of precut wooden parts to build trusses, wall panels, and similar supports used in building construction. 

Production Lead Builder Basic Functions

  • Coach and provide direction, assistance, and training to the production personnel in their work area
  • Enforcement of safety procedures for the company to ensure it is compliant with federal and state safety laws
  • Coach and maintain the quality control standards and procedures as established by the company
  • Train and maintain the production best practices established to produce roof and floor trusses and wall panels.

Production Lead Builder Responsibilities

  • Ensure that direct reports follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Follows and holds direct reports accountable for all company policies & procedures
  • Ensure scheduled work in department is completed
  • Able to meet & adjust to customer’s deadlines
  • Coaches team members on best practices in use of tools, handling material and building components
  • Ensures direct reports clean work area daily at the end of the shift
  • Responsible for team readiness to begin work at the start of each shift and following standard break times.
  • Informs Production Manager when material is missing, defective or additional material is needed
  • Maintains a spirit of teamwork with all team members

Production Lead Builder Responsibilities

  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. consistently
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach
  • Candidate must have excellent attendance
  • Team-Oriented
  • Leadership capabilities

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Previous construction experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in manufactured housing is greatly desired
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as basic math skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively
  • Ability to read and understand home building specifications greatly desired
  • Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols 
  • Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal; As Needed
