Job Description Summary Under the direction of healthcare professionals, the Youth Apprentice – Laboratory will assist laboratory care team members as directed. Duties may include customer service, accessioning, and pre-analytic specimen preparation. 
 
Work Shift Job Description Education: Currently enrolled in High School as a rising Junior required. Must be dually enrolled in Midlands Technical College. Continued participation in the MUSC Health Midlands Medical Laboratory Assistant Apprenticeship Program is required to meet minimum qualifications for this position. 
 
Completion of the Medical Laboratory Assistant Certificate program through MUSC Health Midlands to function as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant. 
 
Experience: Strong computer skills particularly with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, etc.).

Continued participation in the Trident Technical College Youth Apprenticeship Program is required to meet minimum qualifications for this position. Completion of the Medical Laboratory Assistant Certificate program through Trident Technical College Apprenticeship Program to function as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant. Experience: Strong computer skills particularly with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, etc.). Licensure/Certification: N/A
