Job Title: Maintenance Planner
APEL Extrusions Location: Coburg, OR
U.S. Position: Does not qualify for work visa/sponsorship.
Rate starting at $32/hr.
The Company
APEL Extrusions, Inc. is an independent extruder, finisher and fabricator of aluminum extrusions, with six extrusion presses and a full array of finishing capabilities occupying over 600,000 square feet of modern manufacturing space employing approximately 300 people. With facilities in Calgary Canada, Coburg Oregon, and Phoenix Arizona, APEL serves the commercial, residential, and industrial markets of Western Canada and the Western United States.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for directing and coordinating activities of skilled trades people engaged in the maintenance of extrusion presses, including planning and developing schedules for regular maintenance, preventative maintenance, and predictive maintenance utilizing a CMMS. Reports to Maintenance Manager.

- Familiarity with CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain records and files essential to the meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.
- Receive, review, manage maintenance work orders.
- Identify and obtain materials, tools, and equipment necessary to ensure successful completion of scheduled maintenance.
- Attend and participate in maintenance group meetings and other group function meetings and trainings.
- Work with facility leaders to properly prioritize work and ensure proper resource allocation.
- Communicate maintenance issues for proper delegation of work.
- Identify changes needed to PM program based on activity results.
- Analyze downtime.
- Schedule maintenance outages.
- Distribute work schedules one week prior to due date.
- Perform post-job reviews to ensure work performed and post maintenance testing was adequate.
- Quality check received merchandise.
- Inventory control.
- Parts kitting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Degree; Technical Degree preferred.
- CMMS experience required.
- Lock out/tag out experience required.
- Word/ Excel/ Power Point proficiency required.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s and PLC programming preferred.
- Experience with general industrial equipment preferred.
- IT/ Networking experience preferred.
- Fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
