Location – Onsite This is an onsite role that works at the Headquarters in Lafarge, WI. The shift/hours are Monday thru Thursday 6am to 4pm with occasional Fridays and weekends. Employee Type – Hourly Bonus – This position is eligible for a 3% annual incentive bonus based on cooperative and individual performance. Summary of Role To ensure all equipment, dishware, and utensils are properly sanitized and washed, while maintaining a healthy and clean work environment each day for all staff, and special catering events. Assisting the Café Services Team with tasks throughout the day, ie: stocking products in the Café and kitchenettes, helping put orders away, as well as food prep tasks as they are needed. Helping assist the Café Services Team with meal production and service. This role is safety sensitive. Essential Duties and Responsibilities o Complete dishwashing duties according to Café Services standards and guidelines. o Ensure the dishwasher is in good working order so all items being washed meet the cleanliness criteria. o Helping the Café Team with assigned prep tasks. o At the end of the workday, make sure all compost is cleared from the kitchen area and covered if compost has already been emptied for the day. o Keep all recycling separated ie: glass, plastics and aluminum. Additional Duties and Responsibilities o Restock employee coolers each morning, or as needed, with available dairy products and Employee Food and Beverage items, using the FIFO method of rotation. o De-Lime the Dish Machine every other Friday. o Maintaining a clean and sanitary work area throughout the day and during breakdown/shut down. o Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Head Chef. o Assist with preparation and production of meals throughout the week. o Deliver meals to other CROPP Facilities as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities o Knowledge of where everything goes after being washed. o Make sure drying shelves are empty of clean dishes at the end of day. o Understand and comply with Organic Valley’s mission and philosophies. o Understand basic sanitation procedures. o Ability to work within a team atmosphere. o Attend staff meetings. o Ability to work occasional extended hours and special events when necessary. o Maintaining a clean work environment and end-of-day clean up in work area. o Responsible to maintain a clean mop room on a daily basis at end-of-day. o Must be able to perform physical work in a variety of positions and at various heights; including bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting of arms and body movement. o Ability to occasionally bend, twist/turn, and reach above shoulders throughout the shift as needed. o Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds regularly, occasionally lift 70 pounds with assistance, ability to push/pull objects up to 1,500 pounds using material handling equipment. o Ability to stand for long periods of time and duration of shift. o Must be able to work in varying temperatures. o Ability to operate a pallet jacks and rolling carts preferred. o Complete other tasks assigned to me by Café Services Supervisor and Head Chef. Base hourly wage range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour. This hourly wage range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base hourly wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the hourly wage range and hiring at the maximum of the hourly wage range is not typical.
