JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Senior Accountant
Reports to: Finance Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated "Staff Accountant" to manage the overall payables and receivables cycles, month-end close process and billing cycle for a growing business. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, good English communication skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Ability to learn and support in the management reporting requirements shall be a strong plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage and execute the entire month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
Oversee and ensure accuracy of billing cycles, for all suppliers, contractors, and inter-companies
Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports on a monthly basis
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely collection of data and resolution of discrepancies
Assist to perform cash flow tracking, expense management, and variance analysis
Provide basic forecasting and financial insights based on historical data to assist with planning
Ensure timely and accurate payment of suppliers in line with company policies and cash flow
Maintain compliance with statutory tax obligations and file returns accurately and on time.
Support audits and collaborate with internal departments to enhance process efficiency
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Preferably CPA (T)
5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in handling AP and AR billings, and complete cycle
Experience in managing month-end close with minimum supervision
Strong Understanding of Tax Compliance and production – related accounting.
Good written and verbal English communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems ( Sage etc)
Experience working in remote/offshore teams is a plus
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Comfortable working with minimal supervision and handling confidential information
