Body Shop Journeyman Technician Job Responsibilities

• Perform collision repairs including structural, frame, and body work to manufacturer and safety standards

• Inspect vehicle damage and execute accurate repair plans

• Ensure all repairs meet quality control requirements and company standards

• Maintain consistent productivity in a production-based environment

• Communicate effectively with estimators and team members

• Keep work area clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA standards

• Stay up to date with current repair techniques and certifications

 

 

 

Body Shop Journeyman Technician Compensation and Benefits

• $34.00/hour guaranteed base pay for all hours worked.

• Technicians may earn additional production-based bonus compensation, calculated on completed and paid repair orders. High-performing technicians have the opportunity to earn significantly above base hourly pay through productivity incentives!

This position may be eligible for a signing bonus. Any bonus offered is discretionary and will be determined based on job‑related factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

Body Shop Journeyman Technician Qualifications

• iCAR certification required

• Previous experience in collision repair/body shop environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality

• Ability to meet production goals in a fast-paced setting

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

• Ability to work legally in the United States

Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
