Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:
We are looking for an R&D Electrical Research Lab Engineer to join our R&D Ansaldo Lab.
In this role, you will:
Oversee and coordinate laboratory team activities, ensuring efficient workflow, clear task delegation, training sessions, and a collaborative working environment.
Plan and supervise electrical tests that support the development of new products and improvements in material properties, with a strong focus on industrial application.
Analyze test results and prepare reports for stakeholders.
Work with universities and internal or external stakeholders to keep laboratory activities aligned with state-of-the-art practices and business needs.
Ensure compliance with technical requirements, quality standards, and QHSE regulations.
Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients and third parties, supporting high-quality service and strong communication.
Promote and enforce safety protocols to protect people, equipment, and laboratory operations.
Key challenges for this role:
Ensure a high scientific and technical level across laboratory activities and high efficiency of assets.
Increase the lab’s output to meet the significant growth in requested activities.
Maintain high-quality standards even under intense pressure and extremely tight deadlines.
Act as a role model for R&D activities by driving test activities towards industrial application.

Contributing to the development and testing of critical infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and safety of high voltage systems, which are essential for modern power grids.

You are the right fit if you have/are:
Good to excellent spoken and written English.
Master’s degree in Electrical, Energy, Materials or Chemical Engineering, or in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry.
At least 10 years of experience in test laboratories, in university and/or industrial environments; a PhD may be considered equivalent relevant experience.
In-depth knowledge of electrical insulating materials; experience planning and supervising electrical tests; familiarity with laboratory assets used for electrical characterization; and strong understanding of technical specifications and QHSE requirements.
Proactivity, precision, genuine passion for laboratory activities, flexibility, adaptability, strong team-working skills, and the ability to coordinate a team while staying focused on results.

Gross annual salary no less than: € 40.000
The position is eligible for an individual or collective variable incentive based on the achievement of predetermined performance objectives.
