
Lead Tax Analyst - Transfer Pricing Strategy
Job Description
What you’ll do:
As a member of the Transfer Pricing Strategy team, you will lead the team in implementing, on-going management, and documentation of Eaton’s worldwide transfer pricing strategy. This includes performance of functional and financial analyses, supporting financial transactions, studying comparables and documenting results, as well as supporing audit related projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead in collection of data needed for preparation of transfer pricing analyses and documentation as required under tax laws of the various jurisdictions in which Eaton operates for transfer pricing strategy platforms
- Manage relationships and deliverables with other functions within the Budapest Center of Excellence
- Support EMEA Treasury functions and pricing of financial instruments including credit ratings, benchmarking, and documentation
- Creation and development of functional and financial analyses as well as comparable searches
- Support the team in conducting valuations of legal entities and/or assets depending on the facts or circumstances
- Coordinate the work with external advisors and service providers
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of intercompany transactions as they relate to transfer pricing programs
- Lead and support of EMEA audit related projects related to the transfer pricing strategy platforms
- Provide support on ad-hoc projects and activities depending on the business needs
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree (in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a similar field). Other degrees will be considered if relevant experience in transfer pricing, tax, or finance. Masters degree and/or professional qualifications (CPA, CFA, or other) is a plus.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in transfer pricing, gained from either a similar position in industry or in a consulting environment is required.
Skills:
Tax law – Statutes, regulations, court decisions and tax treaties must be interpreted and fully understood.
Accounting –Professional must know how transactions are recorded and reported on the books, and how and where tax accounting rules differ from book accounting rules. Also, it is necessary to analyze complex transactions to determine what tax laws apply.
Computer skills – Must be fluent in the use of standard software, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Also, must be able to learn Eaton’s databases, financial reporting and forecasting systems. Experience with company systems (e.g Moody's, Bloomberg, Power BI) is a plus.
Communication – Must be able to clearly communicate, orally and in writing. Candidate must be fluent in English. Knowledge of another language is a plus.
Interpersonal skills – Must interact effectively with people, both inside and outside the company with individuals coming from diverse backgrounds, languages and different objectives.
Other – Must have strong analytical skills. Must be organized and have effective time management skills.
