Job Overview:
The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Trailer Washer to work at our food processing facility in Newberry, SC! The Trailer Washer is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing trailers to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role helps ensure equipment meets site cleanliness standards, supports operational readiness, and contributes to overall workplace safety and quality.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Clean and wash trailers according to standard operating procedures
Remove dirt, debris, residue, and other materials from trailer surfaces
Apply approved cleaning methods, chemicals, and tools safely and correctly
Inspect trailers before and after washing to confirm cleanliness and identify visible damage
Report safety issues, equipment concerns, or trailer damage to leadership promptly
Maintain wash area cleanliness and organization
Follow all safety, sanitation, and PPE requirements
Complete required documentation or checklists related to trailer washing
Support team productivity by completing work within expected timelines
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to maintain operational standards
Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle tools, hoses, brushes, and related cleaning equipment
Ability to safely perform repetitive cleaning tasks
Working Conditions:
- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors
Exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, changing temperatures, and wet surfaces
Requires use of personal protective equipment
May require standing for extended periods and performing physically active work
Expected Experience & Required Skills
Ability to follow standard work and safety procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to lift, bend, stand, and move throughout the shift
Ability to use cleaning equipment and materials safely
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Previous industrial cleaning, sanitation, warehouse, or yard experience preferred
Will need to be able to drive yard dog
Be pallet jack and forklift certified
Education and Experience
High School Diploma/GED required
1-2 years Manufacturing Experience
