Koegler's Pharmasave is looking for a full-time Front Store Clerk to join our team in Pincher Creek, Alberta.
This exciting Front Store Clerk opportunity offers strong potential to advance into a Front Store Supervisor role!
Responsibilities:
Provide warm, friendly customer service by greeting all customers and handling inquiries courteously
Operate the cash register, stock shelves, tidy aisles, and support various front-store tasks
Ensure store cleanliness and organization, including performing light janitorial duties and maintaining displays
Follow store policies on security, shoplifting, lottery, and CBO ticket handling
Monitor cash levels, anticipate change needs, and request pickups when necessary
Develop strong product knowledge, stay informed about new items, and maintain awareness of store layout
Merchandise products effectively using shelf labels, rotation, and facing techniques
Manage allocated sections and notify buyers of out-of-stock items
Assist in inventory maintenance and support reordering processes
Support seasonal displays and promotional setups
Handle difficult customer situations with tact and escalate complaints as needed
Report customer feedback and concerns to the store manager
Remain productive between customer interactions
Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager
Front Store Supervisor - Responsibilities:
Manage and support daily operations across the pharmacy and retail store, ensuring efficiency, adherence to policies, and a seamless customer experience.
Operate receiving and shipping procedures, including order checking, inventory tracking, restocking, inter-store transfers, and returns; coordinate with suppliers and manage damaged goods.
Supervise, train, and support staff in various departments; handle scheduling, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and team development.
Maintain accurate billing and cashiering processes (including AADL, MSP, third-party, and POS transactions); collect and manage customer payments.
Organize and maintain stockroom, overstock rotation, marking supplies, merchandising displays, seasonal goods, and ensure inventory systems and paperwork are up to date.
Deliver compassionate customer service by answering inquiries, resolving concerns, communicating effectively, and providing assistance on products, services, and complaints.
Perform various clerical and administrative tasks such as maintaining files, handling phones, and assisting customers at front counters.
Ensure cleanliness, safety, security, and professional standards across all work areas and staff appearance.
Lift, carry, bend, reach, and move items up to 50 lbs as needed, with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties throughout shifts.
Handle miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the Store Operator/ Pharmacy Manager and District Director.
Qualifications:
Accurate cash handling and strong customer service skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Clear, courteous communication and strong product knowledge
Experience in merchandising, retail, or cashiering is an asset
Mature, cooperative attitude with a professional appearance, including proper grooming and a name tag
Criminal Record Check required
Schedule:
32 hours per week (Full-time)
The store operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Standard shifts will be scheduled within these hours, and some weekend availability is required.
