JOB SUMMARY
The Food & Beverage Guest Service Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. This role supports restaurant, bar, banquet, and event operations by ensuring service areas are properly set up, stocked, and maintained, while providing professional and friendly service in accordance with Marriott brand standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Food & Beverage Service
- Provide efficient and professional food and beverage service to guests.
- Set up, stock, and maintain service stations and dining areas.
- Ensure all china, glassware, silverware, and service equipment meet presentation standards.
- Support restaurant, bar, banquet, and event operations as required.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including restocking supplies and equipment.
2. Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Welcome and acknowledge guests in accordance with Marriott service standards.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide prompt, courteous service.
- Respond professionally to guest enquiries and requests.
- Create a positive dining experience through attentive and personalized service.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
3. Cleanliness & Operational Standards
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, equipment, and workstations throughout the shift.
- Follow clean-as-you-go procedures and complete daily cleaning checklists.
- Ensure service areas are organized, stocked, and operationally ready.
- Assist with storing, cleaning, and maintaining food and beverage equipment and supplies.
4. Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with Food & Beverage, Culinary, and other hotel departments.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Support team members to achieve departmental goals and service standards.
- Participate in operational briefings and training sessions as required.
5. Safety, Compliance & Brand Standards
- Follow all Marriott policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Complete all required safety training and certifications.
- Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Certificate in Tourism and Hospitality
- Previous Food & Beverage or hospitality experience is an advantage
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards preferred
- Professional grooming and presentation standards
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
