Self Direction Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Per Diem
Pay Range: $17.00–$27.50 per hour

Position Overview
As a Self Direction Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide individualized support to people with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. Your role will focus on promoting independence, personal choice, community involvement, and overall well-being.
DSPs assist individuals with daily activities, transportation, social engagement, skill development, personal goals, and participation in community-based activities.
What You'll Do
Support Independence
Assist individuals in achieving personal goals and developing life skills.
Encourage decision-making, self-advocacy, and personal responsibility.
Promote independence while providing appropriate support.
Community Involvement
Support participation in community activities, hobbies, and recreational events.
Assist individuals with shopping, exercise, appointments, and social outings.
Encourage the development of meaningful relationships and community connections.
Health & Wellness
Support health, safety, and wellness goals.
Assist with personal care needs while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect.
Follow health and safety procedures, including emergency protocols.
Household Support
Assist with meal preparation, grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, and other household tasks.
Help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills.
Documentation & Compliance
Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
Electronically record service hours, mileage, and service notes.
Participate in required trainings and follow agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
Must be willing and able to use a personal vehicle to transport individuals when needed.
Mobile internet access required for electronic documentation and timekeeping.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
