What You’ll Do:
As a Senior Property Accountant, you’ll lead the daily and monthly accounting procedures and financial reporting for an investment portfolio of institutional, private real estate multifamily communities.

This position is a fully in office opportunity at our corporate office located downtown Columbus, Ohio. Our new built corporate offices overlook the downtown Columbus Commons which plays hosts to over 200 events throughout the year. Your Responsibilities:
- Month-end close and reporting
- Property budgeting and forecasting
- Ad-hoc analysis
- General ledger maintenance
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain asset additions/disposals and reconcile balance in fixed asset system to general ledger
- Review lender and operational agreements ensuring all reporting requirements are met
- Calculate monthly/quarterly member distributions per operating agreements
- Vendor invoice and disbursement review
- Recording of escrows, capital expenditures, depreciation, and equity contributions/distributions
- Serve as a trusted information resource to investment partners, multiple third-party service providers, and the internal operations, asset management, and acquisitions team
- Assist in creating and executing detailed financial analysis and assigned departmental projects.
- Utilize technology in a forward-thinking manner to continue to drive new business efficiencies and investor solutions.
- Other duties as directed and assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Previous real estate accounting experience within the areas of private investment and/or property management strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Entrata or similar property management accounting software preferred
- Ability to sit at a desk for 8+ hours a day
- CPA preferred
