Senior Underwriter Structured Risk Solutions APAC & Europe La Défense, France Structured Risk Solutions (SRS) is a dedicated underwriting unit within AXA XL focusing on non-traditional (re)insurance
The SRS team provides clients with customised solutions for large and complex risks
SRS’ offering to clients and brokers includes: Structured (re)insurance solutions for captive insurance companies and corporate clients This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime
What you’ll be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include
Analysis of new opportunities in co-operation with the SRS team
Preparation, structuring, negotiation and execution of SRS deals in co-operation with the SRS team
Follow all internal underwriting protocols, including the AXA Group, AXA XL and SRS Rules & Guidelines, the SRS Deal Memo, Check List and Deal Committee processes
Compliance with all internal and external rules, guidelines and requirements (e.g. legal and compliance, actuarial, tax, accounting, regulations, etc.)
Support on existing SRS deals
Generation of SRS business: marketing to brokers and customers, as well as internal networking
Working on other tasks within the SRS team as required
You will report to the Head of Captives and Facultatives Underwriting APAC & Europe, with a dual reporting line to the CUO Marine & Specialties APAC & Europe
What you will BRING We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Numerical, analytical and structuring skills, proven as either an ART or P&C underwriter, or pricing actuary
Experience in either underwriting or pricing international (re)insurance business
Efficient, very accurate and conscientious
Teamwork skills and a desire to collaborate
Desired Skills and Abilities: University degree or similar qualification
Experience and in-depth knowledge of non-traditional (re)insurance structures
Ability to understand client needs and develop solutions that address their challenges and goals
Effective at communicating complex ideas and negotiating win-win agreements with clients and broker
Skilled at forming and nurturing relationships with brokers, identifying opportunities for collaboration and driving business growth through strategic partnerships What you'll bring: We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Proven numerical, analytical and structuring skills, as either an ART or P&C underwriter, or pricing actuary
