Job Description
Acosta internships are an 8-12-week program designed to help college sophomores and juniors gain exposure to the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. Interns build technical, business, and leadership skills through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship beyond the classroom.
Acosta seeks to provide a rewarding opportunity for interns to develop technical, management, and leadership skills outside of the classroom.
- Participate in training and perform duties across functional areas (e.g., sales support, marketing, retail, sales, and administrative support).
- Learn line and staff functions, operations, management perspectives, and company policies and practices that impact each phase of the business.
- Set performance goals and objectives in partnership with leadership.
- Track progress toward goals with management and assigned trainers/mentors.
- Shadow experienced team members to learn methods, procedures, and standards required for departmental responsibilities.
- Complete training in related departments to support cross-functional understanding and potential future opportunities.
- Attend company-sponsored training classes and development sessions.
- Complete a management-assigned project identified at the start of the internship. With guidance from an assigned mentor, present project work and results to the local leadership team.
- Prepare and submit an end-of-internship summary to highlight key experiences and learning outcomes.
Education
- Currently enrolled in a bachelors degree program (college sophomore or junior).
Experience
- College sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelors degree.
- In good academic standing.
- Prior related experience (as defined by the business) is preferred.

- Demonstrated leadership; able to work independently with minimal guidance.

- Team-oriented with strong collaboration and partnership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
