Legal Records Clerk

Serves as the Sealing Legal Records Clerk in the Civil Division as part of the Case Tracking Team. Performs a variety of complex legal and technical processes related to the sealing of certain criminal public records in strict compliance with the Code of Virginia. Tasks may include but are not limited to processing Petitions for Sealing; reviewing and executing court-ordered complete and partial sealing; sealing case files and case management indices, including legacy systems; coordinating inter-circuit sealing procedures; and communicating with law enforcement and public safety agencies regarding required actions.
