Location          UK

Reports To       AMP - Head of Trading, Compliance and Engineering and Production Services

Level                 7

We’re proud to have been helping our clients build better financial futures for over 50 years. We do this by combining investment expertise, disciplined governance and resilient platforms that help our teams make great decisions for our clients. Join the Asset Management Platform (AMP) to lead the build-out of our multi-asset and systematic investment capability—designing and building applications from scratch and working hand in glove with investment teams to accelerate delivery of front-office functionality.

About your team

As a business, we are constantly evolving how we work to stay ahead of what our clients need and to deliver on our Forward 8 ambitions. FIL Platforms represents the next step in that journey - bringing together Asset Management Delivery, Enterprise Technology Services, and delivery and change teams from across the business into a single integrated structure, designed for clarity, speed, and impact.

That structure is organised around Platforms, each a focused unit of capability with a single accountable owner and within each Platform, a set of Value Streams and capabilities that translate strategic priorities into funded, sequenced delivery.

Your value stream/capability set sits at the heart of that model. It exists to connect our talent and expertise directly to the priorities that matter most, delivering greater impact for our clients with less duplication and fewer competing backlogs.

This role sits within the Asset Management Platform, within the Trading and Compliance Capability.

About your role

As the lead for Investment Compliance Technology, you will be responsible for the evolution, scalability, and operational resilience of the Investment Compliance capabilities in Charles River. You will own the strategy and roadmap, ensuring strengthened platform stability, resilience and unlocking growth potential.

Working in close partnership with compliance teams, the trading technology lead, and other technology leads across the Asset Management Platform, you will translate compliance objectives, operational priorities, and regulatory requirements into scalable, production-grade solutions. Through strong functional leadership and deep domain collaboration, you will drive capabilities that enhance front-office effectiveness, accelerate time-to-value, and align with AMP and broader firmwide technology architecture and standards.

You will align the target-state architecture and processes against the enterprise direction, driving execution against a clear and actionable roadmap with precision, pace, and accountability. This includes guiding critical design decisions, removing delivery impediments, and ensuring solutions are resilient, secure, well-governed, and maintainable at scale. As a builder-leader, you will align the team with enterprise standards, operating models, and ways of working, while remaining hands-on to accelerate delivery of strategic initiatives and critical capabilities.

You will lead the team and the compliance function through the migration from on-prem to SaaS Charles River.  Bringing industry expertise and best practice to ensure that the design and processes are standardised, streamlined and aligned with trading requirements to best meet the needs of all users of Charles River.

Success in this role requires strong collaboration across Value Stream Owners, Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Leads, and Delivery teams within Asset Management. You will ensure priorities are aligned, dependencies are managed effectively, and delivery remains focused on measurable business outcomes. You will design solutions with extensibility and adaptability in mind, enabling evolving investment strategies, asset classes, and regulatory requirements to be supported with minimal friction and rapid adoption.
