🚛 WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections before every run
• Run local routes and deliver freight safely and on time
• Secure loads properly — tarps, chains, webbing, and straps as needed
• Load and unload freight using pallet jacks, forklifts, and lift gates
• Verify freight against bills of lading and manifests at every stop
• Collect C.O.D. charges and return them to the branch as instructed
• Maintain accurate driver logs and required DOT documentation
• Represent Conklin professionally with every customer interaction
• Report accidents, injuries, or equipment issues to your Branch Manager immediately

🔑 QUALIFICATIONS

This is a Class B driving position — we operate Class B equipment. CDL Class A license holders are welcome and encouraged to apply.

REQUIRED:

• Valid CDL Class A or B license
• Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
• Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Not currently enrolled in or subject to a Substance Abuse Program (SAP)
• Ability to lift up to 122 lbs occasionally; regularly lift and carry 1–50 lbs
• Comfortable with physical work: climbing, squatting, bending, and frequent cab entry/exit (cab floor height 36–66 inches)
• Ability to sit and remain alert while driving up to 10 hours

PREFERRED:

• Flatbed driving experience with load securement (tarps, chains, straps)
• Prior experience in freight delivery, industrial distribution, or HVAC supply
